NEW Black Radiance 8-pan Eye Appeal Shadow Collection

So when I first heard G from nouveaucheap talk about these new 8-pan from Black Radiance, I think I jumped up and down!  Some of you may know that both Wet n Wild and Black Radiance are owned by Markwins.  So, I was pretty sure that these 8-pan shadows would be just as good!  I did buy one... Downtown Bronws, and I am going to do a review on that right away.  I will include a link here as soon as the post is up.  Also, I was able to use the coupon included, which brought the price down to $5.99.  I have seen the palette range anywhere from $6.99-$7.99.  Why is it more expensive than the WnW palettes?

Did you guys get this palette at Target at the post Holiday sale? I created this look and want to share it with you!!

Step 1: Instead of using the purple color as cream liner, I used it all over the lid as a base so that colors on top can be more pigmented.

Step 2: This is one of my fave colors.  It's almost like a cream shadow and it looks iridescent.  Apply this color all over the lid.

 

 Step 3: Then use the purple color in the outer corner, blending into the crease.  Apply some of the purple in the lower lash line as well.

 Step 4: Highlight the brow bone area and inner corner of you lid with this color.  Line you eyes with the pencil provided, and apply mascara and your eyes are all done!

NEW Covergirl Blast Flipstick

Covergirl has come out with yet another "blast" collection.  This time, it's called "Blast flipstick".  That's a mouthful.  Why do companies come up with such silly names?  Here's what Drugstore.com says about this product, "Mix and match shades with a flip of a stick for Your unique look for endless possibilities with our 13 customizable shades!  Double your lip color! Multiply your shade power!. Blendable lip duos that let you customize your look. Creamy color on one side, shimmery color on the flip side. Mix them any way you like to create your own look."

I have heard bad reviews.  What have you heard?

PS Covergirl is not cruelty free...

Milani 75% off Sale at CVS

My subbie Nicole sent me a picture of all the Milani 75% off products that she got!  This will give us a good idea of what to get!  I also got some stuff too.  I didn't get as much as Nicole but I think I will go and get more of those blushes!  I love them.  The other thing I am most excited about is the HD Concealer.  I just tried it out and it is AWESOME!!!  You guys have to run to CVS like right now!!!

NEW Garnier BB Cream

BB cream has been extremely popular in a Asia for the past few years already. When I went to Hong Kong this past November, I see about a good 20 or 30 brands that produce BB cream. I guess now it has finally made it to the US market. I have seen a few brand that make BB cream, but they are mostly higher ends. And you can only find those in Sephora. So when I found these at a drugstore, I was completely shocked. Garnier has produced BB cream and they are found in almost all the major drugstores.

The product also comes in a couple of shades. I'm happy about that because I am tired of always finding shades that are too light for my skin tone in Asia.

What do you think about these and would you try it out?

NEW NYX Butt Naked Eyes Palette

This is relatively new. Is any company going to not put the word naked on the palette? I spotted this palette at urban outfitters. And so I took a couple pictures. It looks to be another new neutral kind of palette. But you can definitely do some smoky eyes with this. It also gives you some face products too.

Do you own this or have you seen this around blogs? Would you consider getting it?

Ever since I saw another Youtube friend TalkinMakeup's video (see video below), I have been trying to make a conscious effort to feature mostly cruelty free products on my youtube channel.  And I am happy to report to you that about 80-90% of my video content is cruelty free.  However, I have not moved away from being completely cruelty free yet.  It is difficult, but at least I am making an effort.

Burt's Bees Bee-utiful Treats

This is so cute that I thought I must share.  In case you are not familiar with Burt's Bees, they are an all natural skin care and personal care company.  Nowadays, "all natural" may not mean a whole not, but for this company, they really do go out of their way to use what is found in nature and not put any chemicals in their products. 

Here's a lip balm with Cuticle Cream.  It's cute and it comes in a variety of fruits/smells.  Check it out!  You should be able to find these at your local drugstores.  Here's their website:

Temptalia's Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadows Swatches

We all know Temptalia.  She is the expert makeup reviewer from Mac to MakeupForever.  She reviews mostly high end products, and it is rare for her to review drugstore products on her channel.  So when I found this review, I thought I must share.  She did an excellent job reviewing these 24 hour Maybelline Tattoo that everyone is raving about.  Now that I have seen the review, I feel like running out to get it... LOL

FOTD with Tarte Puttin' On the Glitz Palette

I got this Tarte Puttin' On the Glitz Palette at Ulta as a Christmas gift for myself. I tried it out finally. And I have to say I'm absolutely in love with it. The colors are easy to blend, soft, and pigmented as heck. Here's a quick every day look that I came up with. It's a soft look.

This girl is so fabulous on youtube that I had to just follow her tutorial and do the same look since I have the quad.  It's not exactly the same, but I tried to use very similar products.  Please check her out.

NEW Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eye Shadow

The price is definitely right for the NEW Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eye Shadow.  It's only $7.99.  The shadows claim to not crease, fade, nor smudge, and it is supposed to last for 16 long hours!  It comes in a variety of colors, and on the display, it even teaches you different looks.  They also had a tester, and I quickly did some swatches.  Based on that quick swatch on that particular palette, I was NOT impressed.  It didn't seem very pigmented at all.  Have you tried it and what are you thoughts?
