L'Oreal, NARS, and Lancome

So when I was at JFK Airport, everything is high end at the Duty Free except for L'Oreal.  L'Oreal does try to package it so that it looks all high end, an they do sell things that are normally not available at drugstore.  Look at this travel palette above for example.

 And lipsticks comes in 3s!
L'Oreal Shelf!  Some of these items you can find at drugstores.
Oh I love NARS so much!  Look at these amazing Palettes!  I am a Palette maniac!
 Gorgeousness!
Their lipglosses are famous and I could play with them at the airport.
Chanel is so high end to me that I don't even think I own anything from them!
More travel palettes from Lancome.  These look so nice!
A big bag of skincare from Lancome!
 Shiseido is da bomb!
There you have it!  When you go to the airport, do you also play with their duty free makeup?  I always do!   LOL

P.S. NARS and Chanel do not test on animals according to their websites
L'Oreal, Shiseido, and Lancome DO test on animals according to PETA

I want to repost Heather 123's blog post!
I thought you guys would be interested in her comparison of ELF and Urban Decay

So I am sure that most of you guys have seen these already.  Maybelline's Expertwear Eyeshadows have a different look, and supposedly a different formulation too.

From what I understand, they have brand new colors and combination as well, and have kept some old palettes including Chai Latte (one of their most popular palettes), and Enchanted Forest.

I saw these at Walmart, and they are divided in different categories and different color schemes:
Perfect Pastels
Chic Naturals
Modern Metallics
Stylish Smokes

Perfect Pastels:
Vibrant Spring Flower Colors in Quads and Trios
And they also have duos and singles too!  Look at those beautiful sky blue colors and pastel pink!  OHH!
 Chic Naturals:
For you ladies that like your neutrals
 Modern Metallics:
For those of you that like your bronze, golds, and deep browns.   Look- "Chai Latte" is already gone!

Stylish Smokes:
I think Maybelline is most famous for the smokey palettes.  Here they appear again, and they are prefect for evening wear.

And the 8-pan look pretty good with new colors!

Do any of you own these new Maybelline palettes?  Do you really find them to be different from the old ones in formulation or is it the same just packaged differently?  Send me your thoughts in the comment below!

PS I haven't done too many reviews on Maybelline because I know that they do test on animals.  I just want to put that out there.  It doesn't mean that I won't use or review their products, but I also think that since I am a beauty blogger, I have the responsibility to put a disclaimer when reviewing products that test on animals.

BB Cream Madness in Hong Kong

I think most of you know that I was in Hong Kong for a little over a month.  And of course, I went makeup shopping!  They have awesome stuff there.  One thing that they have plenty of that we lack in the US, is BB Cream.  And let me tell you, once you have tried it, you won't want to go back to foundation.  It's smooth, silky, great coverage, and it eliminates pores.  I absolutely love it.  Of course, not all BB Cream is made equal.  Some are better than others.
Here I am just sharing with you some pictures of all the BB Cream they sell in Hong Kong!  These brands shown below are mostly from Korea.Enjoy!

Missha is a pretty popular brand!  They sell this everywhere and for a good price too!
I have this one now!   It's quite good!  It's very moisturizing.  Perfect for the winter or any dry season!
I have the pink one.  That one is quite thick!
Look at how many BB Cream brands there are in Asia!
 And there's more!
Super Cheap BB Cream in the SASA Outlet in Hong Kong!
Do you use BB Cream?  Which brand do you like the most?

Review: Rimmel Day 2 Night Mascara

Quick Review:

Info:
Dupe of Mac's Haute and Naughty
About $10

Thoughts:
Does not really lengthen
Volume works really well
Does not smudge, smear nor flake
Wish that it would separate my lashes a bit more (and hence tips of lashes feel stubbly instead of tapered off)
I like that it is very dark
Holds curl quite well
Lasts all day
Washes off easily
The lashes do look and feel a bit like falsies

NEW Wet n Wild Trios & 8-pan Palettes Swatches!

Hey guys!  Sorry this took so long to get to you.  I made a video about the newest Wet n Wild Trios and 8-pan Palettes awhile back and haven't uploaded it here because I missed one palette swatch.  Since I have been away without that one palette, and hence have to wait til I get back.  So now I am back and thought that I would share with you the photos.  Hope that you find this helpful.

I have included the original video about all the newest Wet n Wild Palettes along with my three tutorials so far of the three 8-pan Palettes.  I will be also doing tutorials on all the newest trios too.

Do you have any of these palettes and what do you think?  Which ones do you like the most?

 Stay tuned and enjoy guys!

A lot of cosmetic companies nowadays come out with these lash enhancing things prodcuts are supposed to make your lashes longer, thicker, and fuller.  Do they work?  A couple that come to mind include Wet n Wild's newest Mega Lash Clinical Serum-mascara that's supposed to make your lashes longer, and Rimmel's newest Lash Accelerator Mascara.

And now Physicians Formula is coming outEye Booster 2-in-1 Day & Night Lash Boosting Serum. It's $10.95 but a little cheap at Walmart (where I took these pictures).  It claims the following on their website:

  • High-tech formula visibly enhances natural lash growth while nourishing & conditioning lashes.
  • Lash Boosting complex targets the root of lashes where it is most effective in providing nutrients associated with growing long, thick lashes.
  • Innovative and easy to use tool delivers the perfect dose directly to the lash root.
  • High-tech Japanese formula can be used alone day and night or under eyeliner.

Would you be trying this out or any lash enhancing products in the market?

Duty Free High End Makeup at the Airport!

I created a look at the airport a month ago on my way to Hong Kong.  I went to the Duty Free Store and just tried out a bunch of products.  And boy these are high end stuff, and I do have to say, they are pretty awesome.

First, the awesome NARS Multiple which I just applied as blush.
Chanel Foundation was pretty darn silky on my skin!  And it blends right in!
Is it just me or doesn't this Lancome lipgloss remind you of the ones from L'Oreal?  I think they are affiliate companies, right?

I also put some of the Benefit Creseless Eyeshadow. That stuff stayed on pretty good for a 16 hour flight with no primer!

Here's the look I created using all of the products above!

 Enjoy guys!
